The Thirst is Real

2 Oct

YEAH the thirst is real

These days we are facing a dilemma between being able to tell if someone is thirsty or just being consistent interested. Ladies in particular have a habit of calling a guy that is simply trying to talk, get to know or just get their attention “thirsty”. Just because a guy is sliding in your DMs, inbox etc doesn’t make him thirsty it makes him interested. Depending on what they say determines if they are thirsty.

Thirsty is when a guy/female approaches you, or tries to talk to you and you honestly tell them you aren’t interested but yet they continue to push up on the issue. That’s thirsty; I say this because if you were completely honest and didn’t lead them on but they haven’t taken “NO” for an answer that is a problem. At the same time people are never blunt these days they string people along and don’t tell them exactly that they aren’t interested just to call them “thirsty”, and to enjoy the entertainment. I feel people like that attention of someone trying to chase them to feel good about themselves; knowing that someone is ‘thirsty’ for them. If you don’t give someone a direct NO of course they are going to be consistent in trying to get you because they feel they have a chance because you didn’t honestly tell them they don’t.

Another thing is if you know a person is in a relationship and you willingly continue to pursue them. Yes you are “thirsty” unless that person has flirted with you and of course made you feel like you could possibly get somewhere with them.

It all boils down to this. Stop entertaining, stringing along, flirting with people you generally don’t have an interest in and they won’t be thirsty. But don’t mistake a “Hi, how you doing?”, “Hey beautiful?” or a simple “Hey” as being thirsty.

One more thing to touch base on is Instagram and twitter. People consider certain pics (i.e. half naked, side boob, booty pics, bathing suit pics etc.) thirsty. Also tweets about sex, or your phone being dry makes you thirsty and seeking attention. I truly agree with that to an extent. Posting half naked pics such as panties and bra yes you did it for the attention and that’s not up for debate. Now as far as tweets it can certainly go both ways because I myself will tweet how I’m bored and my phone is dry but that doesn’t mean I want all my male followers to ask for my number to text or call me, no I’m just saying it. People take too many things out of context and misinterpret things when it comes to social media, but pictures that’s one thing you can state the obvious on. You know when someone is “Thirst trapping”.

I’ve asked my Instagram and twitter followers What are some things “Thirsty” people say/do?

·“You got a KIK?”

·“You can’t have friends?”

·“Just let me taste it?”

·“Can I Come lay with you?”

And thats just a few.

Have you ever done or said something thirsty? What are some things people have said to you that you have considered thirsty? Comment and let us know
